HTML contentGHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide composed of glycine, histidine, and lysine, complexed with copper(II) ions. Found endogenously in human plasma, GHK-Cu is released at sites of tissue injury and plays a critical role in wound healing and tissue remodeling.
Plasma concentrations of GHK-Cu decline significantly with age — from approximately 200 ng/mL at age 20 to 80 ng/mL by age 60 — suggesting a direct relationship between GHK-Cu levels and the body's regenerative capacity. The peptide exhibits potent chelating properties and induces a wide range of cellular responses from growth stimulation to antioxidant defense.
